We have invested in privately held businesses since 2007.

We have grown businesses through capital reinvestment and acquisitions.
We have sold businesses to private equity and strategic/industry acquirors.
The vast majority were successful, some were not, and we have the experience to partner through difficult times to see things through to the other side.

Bringing the Right People to the Table

We value experience and expertise as we believe our blind spot is “what we don’t know we don’t know.” We include limited partners and other strategic partners in our investments depending on the industry and look to bring people to the table whether as advisors or board members to support the management teams and entrepreneurs with whom we partner.

Commitment to Smaller and Independent Businesses

Smaller businesses are the largest employer and economic engine in the US, especially in rural areas. To us, supporting and growing small businesses is the best way we can support our community. This is why we’ve spent so much time in places like rural Kentucky and Utah.

What's in a Name?

Eldred Rock is the oldest original lighthouse (and in the deepest fjord) in Alaska, between Haines and Juneau, for which we help sponsor the preservation as contributors to Eldred Rock lighthouse’s historical Preservation Association.

The Eldred Rock lighthouse has stood for more than 120 years, guiding seafarers through the Lynn Canal more than 50 miles north of Juneau.

We selected the name as a representation of and motivation for longevity, stewardship, and safe harbor.
